This all started because I stumbled across a website called selflessportraits.com whereby you upload your profile picture to be hand drawn by a Facebook user somewhere in the world. To receive the finished portrait, you must complete and upload a drawing of a randomly-assigned person’s profile picture.
Below are the 3 randomly assigned profile pictures I received on the left, and my drawing on the right.
Since these are posted to facebook, I ended up sketching family members which eventually resulted in the family portrait in the final image below.
