This is a sidecar attachment for a bicycle which allowed for a three wheel stroller to be afixed to a bike. The whole unit unclipped with 2 locking pins.
All of these bikes started life as abandoned at train stations in Japan. Each one was hand sanded to bare metal, primed and painted and detailed. They were all given to friends when I left Japan.
This bike was made from three found bikes. I really lliked the straight forks and really wide handlebars. This was my wifes daily rider and to this day she can't find a bike as comfortable with the correct geometry. It is hard to see but the seat and streamers are a 70's style glitter materieal.
The frame on this bike is one of the most gorgeous frames I have ever ridden. This bike is the one thing I really regret not bringing back with me.
The rear fender on this bike was made up from 2 fenders and was one of the coolest things as it wrapped around the rear tyre almost 270 degrees.
As with all the paint, the details were masked off in painters tape and hand painted using spray cans in the parking lot of our apartment building.
