Colour Theory & Wardrobe Co-ordination
The Colour Manual project was completed for the 'Colour Theory & Wardrobe Co-ordination' course, through Humber College's Fashion Arts program. It required the production of specific colour wheels by both pre-prepared and hand-painted colour swatches, in order to gain an understanding of the theory of colour. The original 12-colour artists wheel and 21-colour Munsell wheel were explored, as well as value and chroma scales. Examples of cool and warm colours, as well as complimentary, analogous, triad and tetrad colour schemes, were also included, along with magazine tear sheets to illustrate their application in the fashion industry.
