For this redesign the client wanted something that looked a bit more fresh and modern. The visual identity was still there so we were bound to the primary and secondary colours, but we shifted how much they were used and gave orange a bigger role.

The filtering module sits clear in view for the user to make use of, as this is a very popular way to search for a restaurant. Each filtering possibility opens up more options so you can get really specific as to what you’re searching for.

A total redesign of the content structure also makes this redesign feel like more than just adding a new lick of paint. Restaurants, promotions and events all display similarly in blocks, which gives them a modular, independent feeling. We like this idea of visualising the restaurants independently because some of these restaurants actually use their page on Gurmanization as their own and only website. And with all the added benefits, there aren’t many reasons not to.

This project was designed at DUX.
