When creating the visual style for this application, we had to keep into account the face that there was already a physical counterpart to this digital concept. The client already sold a deck of cards in which each card had a certain reduction for a restaurant. The application needed to keep this same general idea without necessarily having the skeuomorphic deck of cards feel.

Together with the client we decided to go for a very simple and clean style, with a couple of hints of playing cards. We wanted users to have a fluent experience first and not be distracted by overly obvious visual elements just so that there would be a link with an actual card deck. Each card features a photograph from the restaurant and a tap brings you to the details where you can claim the reduction. It’s as simple as that.
