Salacia is a range of bathroom furniture concepts by HJC Design which explore the boundaries of modern bathroom design through innovative material and production techniques.

 

HCJ’s designers bring together a blend of sleek and organic aesthetic inspirations. The flowing and dynamic form resembles pouring water encapsulated by a light and delicate stature, portraying luxury and elegance.  The charcoal stained ‘3D veneer’ basin creates a striking contrast between the clean white Cristalplant frames.

Cristalplant’s durability, recyclability, and restorability make it highly suitable choice for bathroom environments. Moreover, this unique material can be cut and glued when manufactured, allowing the creation of these sculptural pieces of furniture without the presence of split lines. 

The sink arm has an area of contact with the wall, which provides space for mounting and water inlet connections into the arm. The bowl appears to float whilst being embraced by the arms through the subtle use of stainless steel pins.

Water taps are located at the end of each arm; lever the tap open and closed to adjust water pressure and rotated back and forth for temperature control. Moreover, the bath uses a flexible hose in order to get water into the end of the curved arm, creating a transfixing waterfall that fills the basin.
