Phnom Penh is rapidly developing as the country’s economy grows. At the moment there is no reference model of urban development that is sensitive to the local context in terms of climate and culture. Tropical Urban Block proposes a series of small scale interventions in a typical city block that aim to tackle these issues. The project is a means of instigating a model for future urban development that is inclusive, scalable, and conducive to more sustainable behavior.
