ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The Problem:

As a creative entrepreneur working in multiple disciplines across the country music, film & TV industries, I needed a multi-link for my social media platforms that combined all aspects of my brand/business in one. Prior, I had used two separate multi-link services for my country music blog/platform and my design and film & TV work. In addition, I needed a bilingual option, which was difficult to integrate with character limits on existing paid multi-link services. I also wanted my multi-link to be responsive and not just optimized for mobile viewing, something many of the paid multi-link services do not offer.

After researching many different multi-link and portfolio host paid subscription services, I couldn't find an existing multi-link service that suited my business' needs and checked every box on my wish list.

The Solution:

I decided to design and develop my own multi-link from scratch.

The Benefit:

By designing and developing the multi-link myself, I was able to combine my work in country music, film & TV in one link and streamline my link analytics. Additionally, I was able to set the newly published country music articles to auto-populate to my multi-link, saving me the additional step of manually linking each one.

Given I designed it myself, I have full customization and creative control. Therefore, I can tailor my link to my business' needs as time goes on.

Since I did everything myself, I also eliminated the need for third-party multi-link subscriptions and outsourced labour costs.

The Timeframe & Process:

The mobile version of the project took me approximately 4 hours to complete (from the initial idea, conception. development and launching of a live mobile beta version).

The beta tablet and web version only required minor changes, so they took less than an hour to complete.
