30 Days of YouTube Shorts Challenge (2022-2023)

30 Days of YouTube Shorts Challenge
We as creatives are often under so much pressure to produce content.

As an entrepreneur, my client work always comes first. After spending a large chunk of my days creating content for everyone else, the last thing I want to do is think about creating content to post on my own socials. I always sweep it under the rug.

So I’m starting a 30-day Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts challenge in order to keep myself accountable.

30 Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts in 30 days. A new, daily opportunity to share a visual story, past project or emotion without the pressure of perfection or worrying about conforming to an aesthetic. After all, creative minds perform best when they have the freedom to colour outside the lines.

I hope you enjoy watching this challenge unfold along with me.
DAY 1:  LEFT IN THE DARK

You felt like a calm, unexpected sea. Until one morning, the sea no longer slept. The sense of peace I once felt was replaced by unease and uncertainty. That’s when I knew, I had lost you.

. . .

“Left in the Dark”. Cinemagraph. Digital matte painting, photo manipulation, colour grading and poetry. 1080px x 1920 px. Sept. 10 2022. Personal work.
DAY 2: HORRORELLA

What are you running from? The monsters hidden in plain sight or your demons that keep you up at night? Or perhaps, you’re running from yourself and the one you’re becoming.

. . .

“Horrorella”. Cinemagraph. Digital matte painting, photo manipulation, colour grading. 1080 x 1920 px. Sept. 11 2022. Personal work.

*Day 2/30 of the 30-day YouTube Shorts challenge. Music in the YouTube Shorts version differs from the Instagram Reels version.
