Typographic Artist Book

Who is Your Enemy?

This is a typographic Artist Book using passages from J. Edgar Hoover's "Master's of Deceit" and a letter from Katherine Anne Porter to Dr. William Ross explaining why she refuses to sign a loyalty oath against Communism. Both peices were written in the 1950's during the red scare.

The concept of the book was to show that Porters words were stronger than Hoovers propaganda.
As Hoover's words scream off the page, Porter stays calm and collected. As the pages turn, you
see Hoovers words growing, falling off the page and blending together as Porter's words stay
strong and still.
