Seamless Repeat Pattern ‘bsd 41’

Hello! A hearty welcome to my Surface Pattern Design project. When I feel quite satisfied with the overall motif arrangement of a pattern, for the next step I run it through a few color palettes. Here sharing the most compatible color variations – sorted out from the recoloring process. Compatible in that sense is as a whole, it reflects a cohesive look.

This project includes Dahlia flower inspired abstract floral motif in a ‘Spot pattern’ layout. More space around the motifs, marching florals. I’m at a loss finding more appropriate example than this one! :v

bsd 40 and bsd 41 will make a nice, cozy, close-knit mini pattern collection/duo together.

About the colorways, I’m satisfied with these who have made it to the final cut. The ‘recoloring’ step is a bittersweet one. Sometimes the colors click almost before you’ve done anything at all. Other times feels like forever before getting to that one click!!
Don’t get me wrong. I understand the purpose of setting patterns on product mock-ups for visualization. It certainly has its own place in presentation. However, I love seeing pattern as a single spread too. They are like open ended questions that triggers imagination. Not sure if it’s only me or there exist others who might find it interesting as well!

Loving what you see? Please, take a moment to appreciate. Feel free to share your thoughts/precise feedback in the comment section. I would also like you to consider following my profile, joining me in my pattern design evolution ❤
