The Brief
Every year, 1.2 million women and children end up as victims of sex trafficking in Asia. Our task was to raise awareness of this gruesome fact.

The Idea
Sex trafficking conjures up disturbing images, yet none as horrific as the pain suffered by its victims. The ceiling stands for the repression of innocent women and children who fall prey to evil-doers.

THIS IS ALL SHE'S SEEN SINCE SHE CAME TO SEE THE WORLD.

Maria prefers to keep her eyes on the ceiling. It's a different man every time but the faces are all the same. In her blurred memory, ominous words remain etched forever. "Uncle will take good care of you," her mother had said.
