Web Designer and Developer

As the primary web designer and developer on the Marketing team, I was responsible for planning, designing, coding, and deploying new website features, pages, components, templates, and styles using the Webflow content management system. I collaborated with cross-functional teams such as Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Creative to implement website updates aligned with marketing goals, KPIs, and brand/messaging refreshes. Wireframes, mockups, style tiles, and prototypes were utilized in the design process to help convey visual concepts to project stakeholders.

Web Manager

As part of my role at Viz.ai, I oversaw various aspects of the company's website, including SEO, performance, accessibility, and content management. Using tools like Moz, Hotjar, PageSpeed Insights, and Google Analytics, I conducted audits and generated reports for the Marketing team to refine web strategies. I maintained tracking scripts, ensured on-brand content creation, and served as the primary content editor. Additionally, I played a key role in implementing efficient website project management using Asana workflows and forms, resulting in improved productivity and collaboration within the Marketing department.
The Process

Requests from cross-functional teams for content updates, webpages, components, page templates, and more were captured through Asana forms. Initial meetings with stakeholders were held to discuss goals, content requirements, design specifications, and tracking opportunities using Google Tag Manager. Initial wireframes were created based on the discussion using Figma.
Approval of wireframes and copy led to the creation of either mockups or draft prototypes in Webflow. Mockups incorporated design elements from brand guidelines, promotional materials, and existing component designs and were used for more complex website requests. Prototypes created with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were used if the website request was simple enough to code quickly using classes and components already created.
The Numbers

During the duration of my tenure, I successfully converted over 300 static content fragments into CMS items, significantly improving website management and efficiency. By optimizing resource loading, image file sizes, and front-end code, I was also able to enhance the website's performance by an impressive 25%. Additionally, I implemented various performance, user experience (UX), and content improvements, resulting in a reduction of the website's bounce rate from 36% to an outstanding 2%. These achievements highlight my ability to optimize website functionality, improve user engagement, and drive exceptional results for any project.
