CUBOS is a building toy that bridges the physical and virtual worlds, inspiring children and adults to create. It was developed over the course of six months as my bachelor of fine arts final project in graphic design, and grew out of research I did on other building experiences.

 

The wooden blocks are magnetic, and each side is color coded for polarity. There is also a companion app, Cubos Creature Keeper, that allows users to save their physical creations in three dimensions and design the surface with several themed sets.

 

The exhibit invites users to participate by building something with the blocks and then sharing it on social media networks with #cubosbyui.
