During my time as a designer at idwall, I was responsible for creating artwork for the tech and innovation-themed meeting rooms. My task was to design illustrative frames that pay homage to Katherine Johnson and Stephen Hawking. The frames were accompanied by explanatory texts about the scientists and were framed and placed in their respective rooms.
Katherine Johnson, a brilliant mathematician and technical leader at NASA, played a pivotal role in the success of the first manned space mission with her calculations. Despite facing prejudice as a woman and a black scientist, she persevered and made a remarkable impact in her field.
Stephen Hawking, a British physicist, collaborated with Roger Penrose to develop a theorem about gravitational singularity and predicted that black holes emit radiation, known as Hawking Radiation.
