I’ve recently been getting into creating custom hats in the way of putting my own designs on  fitted caps. One of my favorite characters from the Marvel universe is Silver Surfer. I’ve been wanting to create a Silver Surfer hat design for some time now. I began to do research of different images of Silver Surfer and thinking how I wanted him to be positioned on the hat.  After a good amount of searching I landed on this comic book cover for Silver Surfer Rebirth. ( Not my original image, this image I took as a snapshot on my Ipad from Google. Credit of this image goes to Marvel and all who worked on this comic). Written by Ron Marz and the cover art by Ron Lim. I used this Silver Surfer that he drew as reference for creating my Silver Surfer custom hat design. 

 

It was a lot of fun creating this Silver Surfer hat design, thinking about nebulas, space and the stars. And I enjoyed using all of the different colors making it more vivid and pop. 

I bought the hat and fabric markers from my local Walmart. I highly recommend this brand and they served me well on a previous hat design.  I liked how they were fine tipped to be able to get more intricate detail and line work. I was very pleased with a couple to few different shades of colors of fabric markers. Also was pleased with how vibrant the colors came out.
