"We Gotta Hang Together" is a mural painted in July 2023 as part of Staedtische Galerie Rosenheim's annual mural festival in Rosenheim, Germany. The mural is painted at Johann-Rieder-Realschule, a local school. The mural expresses the energy and vibrancy of youth, and the solidarity of friendship. Although the mural depicts female characters, the topic of friendship is one that's universal. The mural's title comes from the 1980 disco song "Hang Together" by Odyssey. I often use music as an inspiration for my work, and I felt that the title of the song was fitting for this piece. Here the large scale figures also add a surprising shot of energy and color to this otherwise residential Bavarian neighborhood.
