Dream Project Phase 3
For this project I was asked to pick an artist and study their work in order to replicate their style to the best of my ability. The artist I chose was an artist that goes by the name of Kevin Shah, or "Colorreaper" on his social media. By the end of the project, I was supposed to have created my own piece while replicating my chosen artist's style.
Phase 1 was simply choosing an artist and giving reasoning as to why they were chosen. I chose Kevin Shah because I am a big admirer of his work and his art style. His line work and shapes when creating his art are fascinating.
Phase 2 was copying a piece made by the artist to the best of my ability. Below is Kevin's original artwork and after that is my attempt at replicating his work.

Finally, phase 3 was about creating a piece of my own but utilizing the style of Kevin's work. After attempting his style, I learned a great deal about line work and how simple lines/curves can go a long way. Ultimately, I greatly enjoyed making my art using Kevin's style and I absolutely love the way it turned out!
