I wanted to redesign 3 famous Shakespeare plays ( Othello, The Merchant of Venice and Romeo and Juliet). All of the current Shakespeare covers either feature photography or illustrations, therefore I wanted to create a diverse range of covers, which demonstrate the emotions and main storyline plot just by altering the typography. The simple design forces the covers to stand out from the shelf and differs them from existing Shakespeare books. The small amounts of colour within the covers relates to the emotions in the story ( Othello's green spine relates to the powerful quote 'Beware my lord of the Green Eyed Monster'.
