Here are two inside spreads for my thesis project on the poem "The Swing" by Robert Louis Stevenson.  These pages appear near the end of the book as the boy is really getting into the enjoyment of swinging.  I wanted his body posture to really express his thrill of swinging, while keeping is eye on the raven in the sky which expresses how he feels when he is swinging.   This illustration is done in oil on illustration board with details added with prisma color.
