Biano – visual identity

Font: Avantt
Type: Logotype, Visual identity, System, Pictograms

Introducing our latest freelance collaboration for Biano, where we were asked to reimagine their current identity and set them up for the next chapter of their company, which was growing so quickly that they needed a visual identity that allows them to easily expand the other sub-brands and library of creatives in day-to-day communication.

Biano is a visual search engine and aggregator for furniture and decoration products that allows you to easily search for anything you need for your home from one place and even allows advanced features such as mood-board creation of visual search based on the way something looks.

We came up with a simple, straightforward and fun system based on a library of basic shapes and five complementary colours that create numerous combinations in various compositions, be it something more as specific as a sofa or more abstract as patterns that can be used on a website, social post, poster or a tape.

The logotype itself is based on the Avantt typeface by Displaay Type Foundry and further uses elements from the system to tie it all together.

A big part of the identity is also various sets of pictograms, badges and icons for every use case that the internal team further developed along with the new website.

All of this is documented in a very detailed Figma brand manual that showcases all the basic principles for everything mentioned above and uses the power of the auto-layout feature to keep everything tidy and easily manageable.

Big thanks to everyone involved.
