Wedding Invites
Last year 2022, I was commissioned by a dear friend to design her wedding invitations. She asked me to initially design a fun collated illustration of her partner and her surrounded by the places they loved the most; Disney and Japan. She sent me a mountain of images to reference so I sifted through them and sketched some ideas together. The last image shown below is what I created for her in the beginning. They both loved it but her partner wanted to have something a little simpler. So to keep them both happy we settled on one image of them visiting the Nara park in Japan surrounded by deer. The first iteration was a version based in spring blossom season and the final image (shown directly below) ended up being a simple summer green colourway. I also designed the back with a cute spring flower border and hand lettered 'save the date' information.
My friend used to work in events so she's a stickler for the details, later in the year she requested for me to design a cute false stamp to match, for the outside of the envelopes. The whole design came together really well I thought and was a really cute commission to work on! ♡

Illustrations below were finished as requested by the client but not used in the end.
The last image was the initial idea for the invitation but will be used as thank you cards and also made an appearance on the couple's wedding website instead.
