Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a Locamotive, Able to leap tall buildings at a single bound. Look up in th sky. Its a bird, its aplane, its Superman.  Yes its superman,strange visitor who came to earth with powers and abilities who came to earth with abilities with powers far beyondmortal men. Superman who can change  the course of mighty rivers, bend steel in his hands fights a never ending battle for truth justice and the American way. And now another exciting adventure in "A Day In The Life of Sperman". 

A teachers strike has been going on in San Jose for over two months. A percentage of the teachers have been incorrectly paid absurdly little money. The government has failed to fix the problem. Their disconcerts has turned honest teachers into victims with the law. Not being able to pay their rent, alimony, child support, and more had placed teachers in jail. Hoping that the government would step in and address the crisis until the school system and government has the pay process back to functioning order. They have neglected to care about the state of the teachers and has demanded them to go back to work or face another set of criminal charges which would put their career and goal at risk.

With superman there the press and television media has now claimed that with Superman there this has become a "Super Strike".

Gerrardo , Alias Clark Kent, but now Superman after the identity change a retired janitor stands up for the right of the people as Superman because this is what Superman would do in these times.

There are no super villains, just super villainous politicians, and businessmen greedy to make money at the expense of the helpless people.

When you think of it. Even superman has to eat at sometime. Some where in the quiet of the night his separated wife, now a shy friend and confused from his insistence to be Superman. She leaves letter over food for Superman to heat up after a hard day of demonstrating  for justice.

At some point  the wear and tear of fighting for justice takes a toll on the costume of Superman. From time to time Superman must must mend his uniform for appearance. A super needle and thread. 

 

The thread is needed are from his deceased planet.It was sent in the space capsule his original parent placed him in before the planet.  

 

If you are in the Superman comics and the first movie and followed how the superman costume was made.   His adopted mother on earth made him a costume.  So this really means when he'd fight his outfit should be torn to rags or when he made a super fast hard right or left turn  his costume should balloon out like a parachute making him look like an a sumo wrestler , better a skinny guy in the sumo wrester costume. If you want more. Just imagine when you were younger and you jumped in the pool and the air bubbles formed and you lost your top, or  bottom  or both under water. Well there you go. How ever it would in in the sky for all to see.  So we would say, " Look in to the sky, its Superman about to loose his underwear and cape, quick close your eyes".

At the end of the day in the relentless heat of  threats of San Jose. Dehydration is a harsh reality. With blood vessels braking from the long hours in the heat fighting for justice. Superman's calfs show the swelling from behind the old and fading boots which range from red to pink in the worn places. HIs blood literally breaks the surface of his skin in beds and clots. Maybe the blood of superman is real mortal and kryptonite is just the hazards he subjects himself to in the day of the life.  Congested heart fail does next  as the heart fails to adequately pump sufficient blood to the body, one begins to drown and the lungs fillip with fluid. Your voice sounds as if  you  gargling and suffocating while you cough t clear your air passage. This night was the first time I felt like this observing Superman at his home. I wonder if we would miss him should he pass.

In a moment of reflection, Superman collects the complete magic from an article and Illustration of The legendary comic. Its like the wizard of Oz when in reality.

 

In a letter to a friend,

Yes they are.  He use to be a school janitor the retired. His wife sleeps in the master bedroom  he sleeps in the room closest to the living room door. He has two grown sons. One thinks he's nuts and the other adores his father. 

 

The city of San Jose loves him. He's famous there. He's become a mascot for justice. The soccer team is planning to make him their mascot.  His wife and oldest son are  embarrassed that he goes out like that.  But he's always in the news a teachers strike becomes a super strike.   At carnivals when little children get separated they look for superman. 

 

He's kind to all.  He hopes one day his wife will see his actions  bring more security than just a small pension.   

 

We work just to make what we have last. we are no different than Superman.  To face the fact that  money no longer serves our needs per month. We all have become driven to survive. Superman is trapped in a world of superman illusions tied to a real world.. He believes his obsession started a a kid.  I think it's his. Excuse and only shield to protect himself from the unkind comments of adults. 

Now he's loved in San Jose. We are only loved by a few friends and family at home and work. 

He's come a long way. And so have we.

Surreal. Yes it is. It's that way for us. We need a super hero and at the same time we know there isn't one. Then again today's depression brought on by the few that control our destiny have give us an imaginary vision of hope. 

Here, superman is just that. Surreal,comical, and sad. Blended together we get hope but far from actuality.  

Superman is just the people sugar pill. 

 

One of the  top tasks Superman must do in order to look good before going into battle and being everyone's hero after the big win is to look good. Getting that hair just right, so everyone knows he's "Superman" all begins with his hair combed exactly right.

 

It also appears that in the life of Superman in Costa Rica , he's like by the ladies because of his super powers at the carnival. This includes helping a lost child find his mother or family members.  One might not run to a policeman, but  one will always run to the good guys for help under distress. After all at the carnival where you can let your imagination run free. You can imagine Superman is a worthy icon to seek help from to find your mom. After all he has super powers.

Its not that easy being a super hero, when all the countries you have served getting the bad guys  can only think of all the taxes they are logging up to get you for fling over their air space, and landing to crush crime without immigration papers and a work permit.  When the bill is paid all that one can afford is a piece of corn after performing at the local carnival to thrill kids that haven't even read a comic book.  

 

Sometimes you just have to wonder whatever happen to the good old days.  Has, "Up up anyway, once said by Superman, and his trusty narrator gone south, like the once famous Long Ranger's call," Hi O' Silver Away", which has gone to the happy hunting grounds with Tondo in to the vast Navajo realms of Ship Rock and two powder puff dot like smoke clouds in the sky.

 

Today we are no longer reminded that Superman is more powerful than a   "Locomotor", which  use to be a a stream line steam train engine, which also has been forgotten and found the train yard grave sight and was dismantled.

 

Superman will have to live in our minds as an App accruing game points for now. Well that's until we really need hime to  stop the greenhouse problem of modern day rich people that don't pay taxes.

We all need Supermen in our lives--someone to look up to, someone to take us away from stark reality, and the everyday demands of a stressful lifestyle. And sometimes we need super heroes to shield us from ourselves, to take us away and remove us from pain and suffering. To be a superman is to temporarily escape from boredom, from boring people, boring jobs, boring and oftentimes brutal politics. When you’re superman, life becomes acceptable and tolerable because it’s an illusion, your own illusion, and everything that once was real no longer matters because reality is just a fleeting and illusory moment in time.

As I watched Superman wak out inthe night in his community in San Jose, I wanted to beliv he was actually flying off into the night doing what makes him free as Superman.
