Robot Baller Animation

In the beginning, I created moodboards to explore my ideas. This process helped me create a mind map and from there, I was able to start forming the character model in my head.
After deciding on my idea for robot, I sketched it out and created the character model sheet. Later, I used 3ds max to make the final model.
Finally, I created a storyboard to showcase my animation concept. It features a robot as the main character who throws a basketball from the centre of the court and scores points.
This is the first character animation I have ever done. Throughout the process, I learned the basics of animating a character without using any rigging. I also created a 2D texture of a basketball court in Photoshop from scratch, which was a new and exciting challenge. While creating the stadium model in 3Ds max, I learned various helpful techniques and tools such as "Array" which sped up the modelling process.
