My idea for the 80's animation developed when I had the chance to go through the inspiring video archives of the museum. It offers home-movies from local people and the possibility to go on a journey in time. The animation shows all the colourful & funky characters of the 80's come alive to dance once more on the streets of Gent. I combined archived videos with my own drawings, giving the animation an authentic 80's look. All the characters were animated by means of a digital cut-out technique.
