Rebranding Project: Nothing Nasty

ABOUT NOTHING NASTY

Nothing Nasty is a natural skin care brand in UK. Their products are 100% natural. Their brand philosophy is making skin care products that they like to use on their own and their family’s skin. They believe skin care products should be made with as much care and love as homemade food. With fresh ingredients, shorter shelf life, care and attention, they make superior skin care products. The colours people see in their products are naturally occurring colours in the oils and butters. The scents people smell are naturally occurring from the herbs and essential oils that they use. They do not add any synthetic chemicals, perfumes, or preservatives. The listed ingredients are what actually in the products. Nothing else. Currently, Nothing Nasty only has an online store, and they ship worldwide.

NEW LOGO
The logo inspired by their brand philosophy and the notion of "handmade". The logo should be gender-neutral, and also represents "handmade" without being cliché. As a result, I designed a retro-looking logo using elements of watercolour, which emphasis on handcraft aspect of their products.

COLOUR CODING

To cover most of the people’s needs, they offer natural skin care products for men, children and babies, the face and body.

The colour palette based on current colour coding system that Nothing Nasty has already undertaken. Colours modified into almost pastel colour in order to be more coherent with the watercolour effect. This palette will be the new colour coding guide, and also extend into other applications.

The package is cut out of one piece of substrate, which is better at protecting glass bottles. It adopts a glue-free closure technique, which allows it to be more sustainable and cost efficient.
