Trifold brochure to raise awarness about Wisconsin Order of the Eastern Star, a fraternal Masonic organization for women and men
ABOUT PROJECT:
To increase awareness of the Order of Eastern Star, I was approached by Eastern Star state leadership to develop an informational brochure for local chapters to hand out to the general public at expos, county fairs, parades and other community events. Rough text was provided to me, but light copy editing was needed to fit the overall design and messaging goals. Completed winter 2013.

CONSCIOUS DECISIONS:
The Order of Eastern Star accepts members starting at age 18; however, in reality the membership skews to the more elderly. The group also accepts both male and female members, but is predominately woman-run. With a varied target demographic, I choose to keep the piece clean and classic. At the direction of my client we opted to pull stock photography to avoid the impression of favoritism within the organization. Typography combined both a serif and sans serif to increase legibility for both old and young eyes. Colors were pulled from the 2014 Pantone fashion color lists to keep the piece feeling contemporary.

LOGO ILLUSTRATION:
As with many Masonic organizations, the Wisconsin Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star was unable to provide me with a high resolution version of their logo. To ensure the highest quality possible, I choose to execute a complete logo in Adobe Illustrator. The resulting logo was supplied to the organization for future use.
