The Handsome Project - featuring swimwear designs by We Are Handsome, Australia
Australian swimwear designer, We Are Handsome offers this nifty project to photographers and stylists to have creative freedom to photograph their latest collections. This was my interpretation to shoot their swimsuits, I was inspired by a retro dance club, cosmic space and the prints themselves had connotations for me of totem spirit animals, so wanted to create that out of body feeling, like their spirits rising out of their bodies in this space dance odessy. So think TRON, Star Wars, Studio 54 all blended together to showcase these swimsuits and some of the brand's day wear, like their leggings and mini dresses in a surreal atmosphere. Ultimately, I wanted my interpretation to be unique and different to what you would first think or consider doing swimsuit photography. Hope you like. Had a great team to support my crazy venture and hopefully the designers like how it turned out as well.
