Abandoned scranton lace company. This building once employed 1400 people and was the worlds largest produecer of nottingham lace. The factory grounds are over 600,000 square feet in size and contained a theater, bowling alley, gymnasium, infirmary and clock tower among other structures. The plant closed in 2002 with the vice president telling all employees mid shift that the plant was closed effective immediately. I was lucky enough to gain access through a photography workshop arranged with the owners. The plan is to resue this stucture in a mixed use setting.
