The ppl tower is a 24-story skyscraper. It is the tallest building in the city, and the second tallest in the Lehigh Valley after Bethlehem's Martin Tower. It was built in 1926 by Harvey Wiley Corbett, who was part of the design team for Rockefeller Center and the metlife building.

The Neuweiler brewery was zoned as part of the Waterfront Redevelopment district of the NIZ in Allentown. Ruckus marketing (BHDG) has plans to redevelop the entire property back into a brewery. The plans call for a $30 million renovation. So far Ruckus has struggled to come up with the first few million to begin work on the site. It sits waiting patiently until then.
