Windows of the Gaetano Restaurant are facing the famous circus of St. Petersburg. This inspired us to use the circus theme in the logo of the restaurant. 

 

 

 

We made the first cketches.

The idea with the vintage bicycle looked the most appealing — it worked well with the lettering. And was also used in the interior design of the place, later.

But the bear doesn’t look imposing — it has to be bigger…

…and even bigger.

 

Nice. Time to turn it into an engraving style illustration.

Not bad, but we’ll need more details. Starting all over.

Need to make a reversed version to be used on a darker background. Never just reverse the colour of the illustration — looks bad most of the time!
