Malgorzata Kotz // Honours Student 2023

During my final year at Gray’s, I ended up losing myself quite significantly, I fell into a strong sense of loss and I decided for my project I would document life from my own perspective, from the good to the bad.

I went on a journey to find what drives me toward success and what inspires me as a person and as a photographer. I travelled to the three countries that I hold very dear to my heart. I was born in Poland and raised on its traditions and culture, when I was six I moved to the UK and I grew up different from the other kids but also fell in love with the Scottish countryside enough to call it home, I know a future life in the city awaits me so I travelled to Japan to see what a true fast passed city life looks like.

There is 3 main focus points: Location, Life, and People. I have lived and seen many different cultures and I feel like each one has something of its own to offer. I find each one enchanting in its own way from the busy streets to the calm countryside.
