I grew up flying solo on airlines like Indian Airlines and Air India. So, I had a lot of love and respect for these brands, products and services. After all, they took me from one place to another and from family to another.

For a regular Air India traveler like me, when Vistara launched, I was reminded of many of my travels, enjoyable time spent at airports, emotions between check-ins, taking the bus to the flight, preparation before take-off, in-flight food, experiences, comforts and my favourite window-seats. It’s here that I would often sit and think about my life, about work, about the people in my life, about my dog and how we all share the same sky yet at any given time, we’re in different worlds, universes, thoughts, emotions and it’s all one big expanse.

What binds it all together is the service and in-flight comfort and experience. And of course, the people who help make it all come together seamlessly.

As some of the literature online says, the name is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Vistaar’ which means ‘limitless expanse.’ One day as I sat in my favourite Vistara Airlines seat, I discovered that were was a hashtag called #TheVistaraView so I spent the next one hour on the flight and wrote this for Vistara. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it. It was even liked by the page on Instagram.

It's always there to remind you,
of the precious little things in life,
and the space between…
one window and another.
One neuron and another.
One goodbye and another.
One hello and another.
One hope and another.
One dream and another.
One cloud and another.
One silver lining and another.
One wing and another.
One prayer and another.
One home and another.
One family and another.
One star and another.
One planet and another.
One space and another.
One time and another.
One reality and another.
One universe and another.
One expanse and another.
One emotion and another.
One feeling and another.
Fly with us and enjoy the Vistara View.
