The VCS3 sample bank is my most recent creation for sample company Samplephonics. All the sounds featured were created using the historic EMS VCS3 matrix synthesizer, recorded at Lynchmob studios in London. The bank contains a huge variety of atmospheres, sequences and loops.
Close-up of the matrix patchbay. The VCS3 works by connecting various modules via a matrix patchbay system. The signal is routed by putting pins into specific holes.

Recording chain. I routed the VCS3 through 2 Neve 1081 preamps into my MOTU soundcard.
Setup: Running the VCS3 through various hardware effects units and and pair of Neve 1081 preamps. The VCS# can also be used as an FX unit itself.
