Pacific Air - Mirrors

PACIFIC AIR
_____________________________________________

The Lawhon brothers formed KO KO in 2012. They released three songs on Bandcamp and, a week later, received a record deal from Republic Records. Due to the number of other groups using the “KO KO” moniker, the group changed its name to Pacific Air and began work on their first EP.

The concept of the jelly fish and lion fish was their  unifying attribute to sting. The album itself I called Mirrors because in life we often are forced to look at ourselves and the character of our heart which stings a bit! The second concept of having the image flipped and masked was also part of the mirror concept. I felt it was the most effective way to convey a mirror without a mirror. The colors and textures of the albums I felt reflected their genre and style of music. The Illustrations were both hand-drawn with a brush pen and then brought into Photoshop to manipulate. The album logo for Pacific air and some of the type was also hand done for a personal touch.
