Deep Impact
2022 Bluepoint Demoday
Project Overview
Bluepoint Demoday is the Korea's largest tech startup conference to share a broad vision for startups and various future-oriented topics. The theme of this year's event was "Deep Impact" and it helped attendees share new visions and capabilities of the so-called 'New-Rule Makers' who are innovators making technologies and services in case a variety of impacts happen in the future. For the first Bluepoint Demoday, VEIG paved the way for the identity design system for it. Moreover, VEIG has developed an identity and main design for "Deep Impact", the theme of this year's Bluepoint Demoday.
Design Concept
"Deep Impact" is not only the name of a movie directed by Mimi Leder, but also a project of NASA. They inspired the conference and affected the wordmark "Deep Impact" to be designed in clear and straight ways based on a harmony between an image of the vast universe and strong typography titles. In addition, VEIG created the Blue Planet by using a blue dot that is a symbolic visual asset of Bluepoint Partners. The planet was utilized as a main graphic element at the conference and played a role to fortify the conference organizer's identity. The logo of the title spinning like an asteroid belt on the screen reminded the audience of "Deep Impact" as an image of the universe and the theme of the conference.
