The theme of this year's conference is "Living Green".  The printing representative of GTGC came to Cardinal Stritch's advanced design group looking for different concepts.  My partner, Rachel Babiak, and I came up with the concept of integrating Milwaukee's industrial side and it's organic side to show how our little city is, in fact, turning into a green city.

We went out to the Kilbourn Water Reserve and took photos along Humboldt where you can see the perfect view of our city's awesome cream-colored buildings and also the views of our wonderful park system.  We then completely illustrated the entire city and its elements by hand.  GTGC chose our design out of the four that were submitted.

Rachel and I completely art directed this entire project, as well as worked one-on-one with our clients and the printing company.  This was our first real-world client project and it was an awesome experience thus far.  I should be getting printed proofs within a few weeks, so I can't wait to scan them and post them on here!
