The Little Free Gallery

The Little Free Gallery is a public art installation that I created to ensue trust of public works.  The idea behind the installation is to make art accessible and attainable for the public.  The works are hung using art clips, which means they can be easily removed and taken home.

Yes.  All of the works are donated by artists and left behind for others to view; if viewers are so compelled, they can bring the works home to add to their personal art collection.  In return, it is strongly encouraged for "takers" to leave something of their own personal work behind.

I am a strong believer in the arts and wanted to convey my love for curating and owning a personal art collection into a pro-bono project.  All clips and frames were donated by myself and the screws were donated by the Cardinal Stritch Visual Art Department.  I hand-lettered the gallery title above, drawing inspiration from the Lost Type Co-op's Tommaso.
