Jannike Sommar is a Swedish fashion designer based in Paris. Her work is known for its bold colors, a bit of humor and naive-yet-purposeful designs. With an ambition to build her own queer universe in fashion, she uses her creations to loudly express pride.
That being said, I was honored to design a distinctive identity that reflects Jannike’s unique brand and all that it stands for. The logo idea comes from an icon of two mouths kissing, symbolizing the power of (queer) love, while the groovy typography conveys the optimistic playfulness that is present in Sommar’s work. The color scheme has bold hues delivering high contrast and vibrant energy. Throughout the identity, the logo is used in an exploded way that expresses the brand’s unapologetic proud approach.
