All Our Names | Dinaw Mengestu

All Our Names is a novel about identity and coming of age that takes place during the african revolution. It follows the life of two students from a revolutionary college campus in Africa to a “free” midwestern America where racism still reigns.

One of the most important things to represent in this jacket was the duality between wanting to state what defines you as a person and the desire to hide who you really are. The chalk, worked as a common element to represent both rebelliousness and naivety.
