INITIAL SKETCH DESIGN
Welcome to the Sunnyside. This artwork is meant to embody the first inhale of the day. It is a very personal cannabis experience that is unique to the individual. For me it's a floating rush of creativity and calmness. That’s why this scene is light and welcoming — with elements of the tropical outdoors AND hints of terpenes. The helpful hand that offers a light to our main subject is an homage to the social aspects of cannabis, and those moments when patients get together and share experiences. Her hair color is a nod to the local NHL team, the Tampa Bay Lightning. There are other, more subtle cues for Tampa as well. Her sunglasses reflect a vision of the city’s heart and soul: Bayshore Boulevard. Her sun hat features a TPA button, too. Rendered playfully with a full spectrum of Sunnyside colors, this piece conveys a sunnyday sensibility that effortlessly brightens the store.
