Process
Can the cover instead make the front & back of the phone more interesting, and unique?
I looked at the iPhone as an empty canvas. By pointing out elements I wanted to hide and show I draw lines between them. The final shape is a result of this way of thinking and drawing lines.
I made the shape in Catia, and 3D printed it (SLS). Underneath you see several iterations.
:::
This cover is designed with the same "visual language" as the iPhone, and doesn't try to be crazy or funny or cool. It's a cover that it meant to fit the iPhone and make it look even better than it already looks. It's not a bulletproof cover who protects your IPhone from water and fire. It's a cover that makes your iPhone stand out.
