A storybook style illustration based on the quote by Isaac Newton "If I have seen a little further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." relating to scientific inquiry and building on what has come before to achieve new innovations and discoveries.
This image was hand drawn and inked on A3 paper, then scanned and coloured in Adobe Photoshop CS6. I made the texture overlay myself using water colours on paper.
I very much enjoy working this way with Illustrations. I find I have better control when inking and end up with better results despite the absence of an undo feature.
