Pulp Fiction minis

For a long time now I wanted to do something with my Pulp Fiction-"Action Figures" and finally I came up with something interesting and challenging. It will probably be an ongoing project (maybe even with some stopmotion videos) so stay tuned...
Vincent and Jules not tired of driving around and killing bad guys, are on their way to the next spot. A McD to order some "Le Big Macs".
I searched the web for a Chevy Nova from 1974, which is the car Jules and Vincent drive in the movie, but couldn't find a free one so instead I used a Ford Mustang from 1966 which looked quite similar and as we can only see it from the inside it would do the trick.
After setting up the lighting and rendering the car, I photographed the figures which was really challenging as I couldn't get really close to them with my DSLR (my smartphone doesn't have a good enough cam). Also finding the right angle and height to match the virtual camera inside of C4d was tricky so I tried to get it as close as possible and than adjust it in post. There is probably a better way but I couldn't find it :-)
After all the "plates" where done I created Alpha channels for the figures in Photoshop and brought everything into AFX where I further adjusted the perspective (with the puppet tool) and matched the colors.
I'm not sure if I will create future pictures in the same way or if I try to capture them directly in camera. We will see ;-)
I finally came back to this project after a way to long time but work and other projects keep me way to busy. I haven't found the best workflow yet but at least with my new smartphone it is a lot easier to come up close to the figures.
This time the two hitman took a wrong route and ended up on another QT filmset by accident. (it's not the actual bg out of the film but I hope you know what I mean)
