I would like to highlight is a just my personal project to see how I could modify some of the icons and add some personal touch up mixing with 80s style colors and symbols. I looked into some of the 1984 technology and tried to combine with trendy design style of this generation. As we are also doing the same with music industry. I redesign some of the correct icons and also created some of the icons which represent some of the settings and of the Apple iphone and Apple Macintosh. My primary goal was to create the icons that dose not need to give it a second look to recognised it without any labels write on them while might use them.
While I was working on some of the icons I saw that Samsung company had already designed some of their icons on there new Galaxy S5 phones. So I had to make sure that i wasn’t using any of the symbols which they had already applied to their new Os.
The colour spectrum I used to design the icons is taken from the idea of a live music show in 80s and disco techs. As we are well aware the Apple is using such bright eye popping colors on their icons on the update iOS 7. I wanted to design some very out of place and odd. I did tons of research on how could give symbols which gives the right idea for each application
I hope it as awesome as the 80s were while the Apple is celebrating their 30 year anniversary of Macintosh
