Calyx was commissioned to help bring to life the extraordinary ‘Ordinary Day’ television commercial for Nedgroup Investments for an online medium. In order to tell the real story of American Airlines Flight 1549 that crash landed in the Hudson River in New York in 2009 we created an in-browser animation, controlled by the user’s scroll, that showed in detail, events that led up to the crash.
Throughout the animation we drew parallels with Nedgroup Investment’s business strategies and how always being prepared and trained, can help prevent disaster. At the end, the user was presented with background videos to the story, the actual commercial and information to engage further with Nedgroup Investments.
