This is a visualization of the foreign students in Piedmont, sorted by province (academic year 2012/2013).
Each ring represent a province, and its radius is proportional to the total amount of foreign students (from preschool to secondary school). Four colours represent different continents, and every country which has more than 500 people of that nationality is displayed (the remainings are displayed as “other countries”).
This visualization permits to observe the percentage of a community in each province and the variation between them in terms of quantity and typology, while giving a total view of the foreign students of Piedmont.
