The Little Crown Crown Inn & Restaurant is a family run business set in the village of Wainfelin, on the outskirts of Pontypool. The owners, Ian & Alison, have owned the property for over 10 years, and in that time have turned it into a thriving businesses that brings all parts of the community together through their offerings of entertainment, hearty home cooked food and always a warm welcome.

 

We were recently commissioned to give the business a new brand identity, due to the fact that the business is currently expanding and diversifying. The restaurant currently offers wide range of dishes through their main menu, and also offers daily ‘themed’ menus, such as ‘Grill Night’ and ‘Pasta Night’. When we were first approached, there was no consistant design or brand alignment for the set of menus, and did not highlight the quality of food with striking design.

 

Therefore, we redesigned the menu, keeping the A4 page layout that the restaurant wanted to maintain. Each themed menu was also given a particular identity, highlighting the culture associated with the particular dishes on offer for that menu.

 

To keep all marketing materials consistant within the brand, we also created loyalty cards, customer comment cards and corporate stationery.

 

The next step in the rebranding process was to create a new website which replicated the brand identity. Visual elements were created throughout the website to give highlight to the personalities of the premises and staff members.

 

Also, each menu is accessible via pdf download from the website, which gives customers the option to view and book tables and meals before attending the restaurant.
