American Movie is not only one of my favorite documentaries, it's one of my favorite movies, full stop. When I learned that the DVD was out of print, I had some ideas for the cover art of the reissue that someone (Criterion Collection?) should put out. Unsolicited work, obviously, and unabashedly influenced by Adrian Tomine, Daniel Clowes, and los hermanos Hernandez.
