Rudi Giuliani is an attorney (although his license to practice law is currently suspended) who was President Trump's personal lawyer from 2018 until 2021 He led the effort to overturn Trump's loss in the 2020 presidential election, promoting numerous falsehoods and conspiracy theories, but never furnishing any credible evidence of widespread fraud that could have altered the outcome. Before that, he was best known for serving as Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001, and for running for President himself in 2008, when he lost in the Republican primary to John McCain.
